چکیده
Mismatch repair (MMR) testing is recommended in the Netherlands for all patients under 70 years of age with newly diagnosed colorectal cancer (CRC) order to identify Lynch syndrome. T1 CRC can be removed by local excision or oncological surgical resection. We evaluated frequency MMR pT1 lesions within Dutch screening cohort. population-based program from 2016–2018 were identified pathology registry (PALGA). Pathology reports evaluated, including registration (by immunohistochemistry and/or microsatellite instability PCR). Frequency was compared between tumors that treated (endoscopic transanal) and resections. A total 3.692 CRCs (median 63 years, 61.4% males). performed 83% uptake increased over time (71% 2016 92% 2018, p<0.01). significantly more often younger academic hospitals. When resection (n=1.132), 89% cases known prior 51% cases. occurred less case (80% n=2.560) (p<0.01). time. frequently resected excision.

Higher risk of colorectal cancer in patients with newly diagnosed diabetes mellitus before the age of colorectal cancer screening initiation
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is associated with greater risk for colorectal cancer (CRC). The age of onset of T2DM is decreasing worldwide. An increased CRC risk in young T2DM patients could be relevant for the age at which to initiate CRC screening. We report on CRC risk in T2DM patients with attention to age of diagnosis. We used pharmacy data (from 1998 to 2010) from the PHARMO Database N...
متن کاملHeterogenous mismatch-repair status in colorectal cancer
BACKGROUND Immunohistochemical staining for mismatch repair proteins is efficient and widely used to identify mismatch repair defective tumors. The tumors typically show uniform and widespread loss of MMR protein staining. We identified and characterized colorectal cancers with alternative, heterogenous mismatch repair protein staining in order to delineate expression patterns and underlying me...
